Love starts before we wake up 

Under the sheets sharing warmth 

Your palms between my thighs 

While we lie on our sides 

Resting, closed eyes

Catching up on rest 

Before we spend our days at work

But our morning routine is always the same

It’s an unspoken peacefulness

Almost as good as when you mumble my name

Your alarm wakes us

I turn it off and pass you your phone

We cuddle until you must leave home

I hope it will always be the same
