My life in blog form: 23/06/2025

 

Good morning!

Happy Monday!

So I've woken up with so much to do and a stinking summer cold. Which is poo!

Sore throat, migraine, exhaustion and lack of appetite. I have work at 16:45 so plenty of time to chill, unwind and pop into Lidl for some munch! I need to clean the house but there is such a lack of motivation it is ridiculous. Kieran and I hoovered, did some washing and even used the carpet cleaner so half way to a clean house. It's just the dreaded kitchen. I want it to cool down and I want to feel better. It has been probably a year since I had a cold to be honest as I don't get ill very often. The tea and honey has slightly helped but cold and flu tablets have done NOTHING. This is karma for not resting on my three days off.

Okay universe, I get it now, chill out!

Good news though: Last night I had a very long bath and re-dyed my hair. It's naturally dark brown but I dye it black. Makes me happy. That was about the closest thing I did to relaxing this weekend. 

I don't feel like the gym today but I may try and get some chest presses and bicep curls, Just a few bits for my arms. Even if I feel meh. 

I'm trying to get better at routine, chatted to a pal this morning, Damo and he seems to be feeling the same. It's so hard to have routine and then you start doing well, then one thing knocks it out and you spend the rest of the week feeling meh.

My meh thing is being exhausted and stupid fathers day. Year 2 without him.

I've written a blog post today. Woo hoo. I think it was worrying in case I ran out of things to say...

It's me though. I could write about the leaves falling off a tree which is not something I'm proud of. I am so good at chatting shit for hours and maybe one day my shit will be read. 

In the future I'm hoping to write about poetry and the ins and outs of everything if that is something people are interested in. Maybe start a grief blog. Any ideas, drop me a line or leave a comment I suppose.
