Bank Holiday Monday

 Bank holidays ae just another day

I won't need an excuse to act insuffarable today

All the worst people are gathered at a spoons

I can walk through town safely while humming a tune

The usual suspects who cat call

& try to mug me off

aren't going to to bother today

because they're at the pub

The annoying girls who use their outside voices

when stood at the bar

cheap perfume

to cover the stale cigarettes

Their makeup so thick, a reflection of their mind

dumbed down dressed down

where is their pride?

Bum cheeks  and nip slips

It's a struggle not to look

but it's all good

on a bank holiday
