We Are Only Human

 I am only human

I make mistakes 

And will try to smooth them over

While scolding the past me

& my previous actions

Looking at where things went wrong

But also where things went right too

Because the past you 

Is only human

We are only human

We might need to ask for help

And look to others

When things aren’t as simple 

As an abc or 123

Or this order of events 

And we are only human

Sometimes the emotions talk

Before the mind does 

And we let out a little cry

Instead of sitting and reasoning with our minds 

But that is only human

There should be a help book given once you turn 18

With how tos of everything that we need

And when you get offered advice that is clearly not right

Don’t be mad

Because they are only human 

Your friends and family had to do things for the first time too

Just like you and I did 

So work together 

With a mix of each others strengths

And put our weaknesses in the past tense

Because we are unit 

This right here 

This group of people 

We are together 

In each others company

Stronger 

Happier

And we are only human
